How much does diagnosis cost?
Diagnosis is free when followed by a repair. Without a repair, it costs €25 at the workshop or €50 including return shipping. Before any repair, you receive an assessment of the work and cost and decide for yourself.
When are you open and how do I make an appointment?
Regular hours are Tue–Fri 18:00–20:00 and Sat 10:00–16:00; closed Sun and Mon. Please make an appointment before travelling. Phone and WhatsApp: +49 162 2806836.
How long does a repair take?
Timing depends on the device, fault and availability of any required parts. After inspection, I discuss the expected timeframe with you. First send me the manufacturer, model and problem so we can agree on the next step.
Is there a warranty?
I provide a 90-day warranty on completed work and the replacement parts installed during it. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
My laptop overheats and shuts down – what helps?
Dust and aged thermal materials can cause overheating. Standard internal laptop cleaning costs €90, including new thermal paste. Complex or glued devices cost €110, with thermal materials suited to the model (thermal paste, thermal putty or liquid metal). I check the cause and confirm the appropriate scope before starting work. View prices and services.
How much does premium console cleaning cost?
€80: Xbox One S including All-Digital · Xbox Series S – all storage and colour variants. €100: Xbox One / One X · PS4 / PS4 Slim / PS4 Pro. €130: Xbox Series X including Digital Edition and 2 TB Galaxy Black · PS5 / PS5 Slim / PS5 Pro including disc and digital versions. Full internal cleaning with dismantling of the cooling system. Includes new thermal paste for Xbox and PS4; PS5 includes liquid metal service and renewal. How much does an SSD or RAM upgrade cost?
Hardware installation costs €40. Components are agreed and charged separately. HDD-to-SSD operating system migration costs €90 up to 160 GB and €140 for over 160 GB up to 500 GB. Installation, migration and components are separate items.

How much does Windows reinstallation cost?
Windows reinstallation including drivers costs €89. Before starting, we agree how to handle existing data and the scope you want. A separate backup or migration is a separate service.
What happens to my data during repairs?
Please back up important data before handover. We discuss existing files before work begins. If you want a separate backup, prices are €30 up to 50 GB, €80 up to 500 GB and €110 up to 2 TB. You need a suitable external hard drive or USB storage device; ordered storage costs extra. Complete data preservation or successful data recovery is not guaranteed.
Do I need my own storage device for a backup?
Yes. For a backup, you need your own external hard drive or USB storage device with sufficient free space. If you do not have suitable storage, I can order it by arrangement for an additional charge. Storage is not included in the backup price. Backup up to 50 GB: €30; up to 500 GB: €80; up to 2 TB: €110. View prices and services.
Can you collect the device?
Collection is possible by arrangement. It is free within 5 km of Kößlarn. Charges according to the price list are €10 for 5–15 km, €15 for 15–20 km and €1/km over 20 km. We confirm the actual route and cost in advance; collection is available within approximately 30 km.
Do you accept devices from Austria and Switzerland?
Shipping from Germany, Austria or Switzerland is possible by arrangement. Contact me before shipping. You receive an RMA number and packaging instructions; shipping, return delivery and costs are agreed in advance.
Which devices do you repair?
PCs, laptops and gaming laptops (e.g. ASUS ROG, MSI), plus games consoles: PlayStation (PS4, PS5), Xbox and Nintendo – including premium cleaning by model (thermal paste for Xbox/PS4, liquid metal service for PS5), power supply and drive repairs.
My laptop no longer starts – what could cause this?
Startup problems can have different causes, such as power supply, memory, storage or the system. I inspect the device and discuss sensible next steps with you. A specific repair or outcome cannot be promised before diagnosis.
My screen stays black – is the screen faulty?
A black screen does not automatically mean the screen is faulty. The screen, cables and other components are checked. Screen replacement starts at €68 according to the price list; scope, replacement part and final price are agreed in advance.
The keyboard doesn't work – does it need complete replacement?
Depending on the model, the keyboard can be replaced separately or together with the top case (from €119). For liquid damage, I first check whether thorough cleaning is enough – this is often cheaper.
What does diagnosis cost if I decline the repair?
€0 when followed by a repair. €25 workshop fee if you decline at the workshop. €50 when the device is returned by shipping.
Do you repair a laptop's charging socket or replace the motherboard?
Inspection establishes whether the charging socket, power adapter or another component is affected. Depending on the model, a targeted socket repair may be possible. Scope and price are confirmed after diagnosis; the price list states motherboard repairs at €120–359.
Do you repair motherboards at component level?
After diagnosis, a targeted circuit board repair may make sense. I assess whether the work suits the device and discuss options before starting. I do not offer reballing of large GPU or CPU chips.
